The university is saddened to report that EWU retiree Carol Golden Sanders passed away on March 21, 2023. Golden Sanders started working at EWU in 1988 and retired after nearly 32 years of service. She worked in various departments prior to retiring from the School of Social Work.

The university is saddened to report the loss of Professor Emeritus Michael Green, PhD, who died on Feb. 23, 2023. Green taught in the History Department from 1967, retiring in 2001 after 33 years of service.
