Move-in day for the much-anticipated ’21-’22 academic year brought close to 1,000 students to the EWU campus as they settled into their appointed residence halls.
Families arrived from places as far away as Alaska, as well as from locations closer to campus such as Puyallup, Tekoa and, of course, Spokane. They all arrived with plenty of essentials, including microwaves, fluffy blankets, lava lamps and plenty of dorm-room snacks.
Not even masks could hide the smiles of happy volunteers eager to welcome everyone back.
It’s as close to normal as we can get right now. But it’s sure great to see campus buzzing once more.
