Eastern Washington University continues to follow state and federal recommendations to protect the health and safety of all members of the campus community. Now that the holiday season is upon us, it is even more important to be vigilant in following public health guidelines. This is why Eastern made the decision early this academic year to move all fall classes, including finals, fully online after the Thanksgiving/Native American Heritage Day holiday break. Students need not return to Cheney or to campus until the new term begins after the first of the year, and then only if you have any in-person classes.
To continue providing essential services in a safe and healthy environment, EWU will follow Gov. Jay Inslee’s phased reopening guidelines for all buildings on the Cheney and Spokane campuses. During this time, buildings may be closed to the general public with limited access to students and employees. Buildings which house important student services remain open with modified access, hours and operations.
