As part of the EagsVaxUp! program, which includes incentives such as a full year’s tuition, parking passes and many other gift cards, EWU is now able to offer ten $1,000 scholarships through the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC).
The WSAC scholarship money comes from CARES Act funding that Gov. Jay Inslee wants to use for the “Shot of a Lifetime” program, which includes vaccine incentives at institutions like Eastern.
In addition to uploading vaccination records, the winner for these particular scholarships needs to be a Washington resident and have completed 6 or more credits during spring quarter.
EWU is holding drawings every wednesday, and the dates for the $1,000 WSAC scholarships are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 7 – One $1,000 scholarship
- Wednesday, July 14 – Two $1,000 scholarships
- Wednesday, July 21 – Three $1,000 scholarships
- Wednesday, July 28 – Four $1,000 scholarships
Then on Wednesday, August 4, EWU will draw a name for the winner of the one full-year tuition waiver from EWU.
