Eastern Washington University continues to adhere to the guidance of the CDC, the Washington state Department of Health and the Department of Labor & Industries.
Due to changes made by each of these agencies in the last two weeks, EWU is informing you of the new mask requirements on campus moving forward. EWU will continue to update its COVID protocols consistent with guidance and requirements from these agencies.
- Students should continue to wear masks inside any EWU buildings and engage in social distancing consistent with our current protocols through the remainder of the academic year.
- After graduation, EWU will follow the CDC and DOH guidance. Students and visitors who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks.
- Consistent with L&I requirements, employees must continue to wear masks at all times while inside EWU buildings (unless working alone in an enclosed office space) and engage in distancing until they have uploaded their vaccination records to MedProctor. Once an employee has uploaded their vaccination records and is fully vaccinated (two weeks following the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or two weeks following the Johnson & Johnson vaccine), employees no longer need to wear masks or engage in social distancing. Supervisors will be provided with lists of employees in their areas who have verified that they are fully vaccinated.
