Eastern Washington University’s division of University Relations is pleased to welcome Kelsey Hatch-Brecek as the new director of alumni relations.
Hatch-Brecek, also known as “Super Fan” by The Inlander, is a third-generation Eagle who has a bachelor’s degree in recreation management. She was highly involved in student activities while attending Eastern in the early 2000s, including roles with Eagle Entertainment and as a player and executive board member of the Women’s Softball Club. She also brings with her more than 17 years of professional event management and planning experience, as well as team leadership and organizational skills that she gained while working at Entertainment Warehouse in Spokane.
Mostly, she brings unparalleled enthusiasm for all things Eastern.
“I am elated to be leading the alumni relations office at EWU,” says Hatch-Brecek. “I have always wanted to give back to the university that has given me so much over the years. Eastern alumni are the most passionate in the region, and I hope to connect them to each other and increase their level of support for the university.”
Hatch-Brecek considers Cheney her home, where she resides a few blocks from campus with her husband, Aaron Brecek ’03, and son, Kameron. She began her duties July 1.
