Kim Pearman-Gillman was unanimously elected to serve as chair of the Eastern Washington University Board of Trustees (BOT) during its October meeting.
She was appointed to the EWU governing board in February of 2018 by Gov. Jay Inslee and has served as Vice Chair since October 2019. Pearman-Gillman brings more than 35 years of senior leadership experience, with extensive strategic expertise in business and community development, economic development, community relations, project management, marketing and communications. She is currently is the senior vice president of community development and impact at Numerica Credit Union.
“It is an honor to be a part of leading the Eastern Washington University Board of Trustees,” says Pearman-Gillman. “Being elected chair of the board for a university that deeply cares about its students’ education and well-being is a responsibility I take seriously.”
Pearman-Gillman believes in the importance of EWU’s mission as a public university dedicated to a top-notch, well-rounded education for all and is committed to supporting the university’s focus on first-generation students as well as advancements in STEM education.
In addition to Pearman-Gillman’s election as Chair, the BOT also voted for board member Michael Finley to serve as vice chair.
