EWU Students Place in State Japanese Speech & Skit Contest

Four Eastern Washington University students recently competed in a state speech contest. Three earned top placement.

The Japanese Speech & Skit Contest has been fostering Japanese language learning Washington State for more than 30 years. Three EWU students placed in the top three in two different categories.

Irie Browning — First place/University Level 1-Beginner

Speech Title: My Quiet Vacation「私のしずかなりょこう」

K. Gasper — Second place/University Level 1-Beginner

Speech Title: A Wonderful Change「素晴らしい変化」

Teresa Johnson — First place/High School Division
