In Memoriam

EWU is saddened to share that William Barber, emeritus faculty  in the Psychology Department, passed away on Aug. 31. Barber started working at EWU in 1969 and then retired in 1999, after 30 years of service to the university. Services will be held at a later date.

EWU is saddened to report that Lawrence (Larry) Kraft, emeritus faculty in Communication Studies, passed away on Aug. 30.  Professor Kraft started his career at EWU in September of 1966 and served for the university for 25 years before retiring in 1991.  There will be a service in honor of … Read more

The Eastern community was saddened to learn that Tom McCracken passed away on June 30.  Tom served in Custodial Services for 31 years before retiring in 2018.

The Eastern community was saddened to learn of John Brooks passing on July 5.  John served in the Sports and Recreation Department for 34 years and retired in 2012.

We are saddened to report the passing of Patricia (Pat) Terrell on May 6, 2022.  Pat retired from the University’s Records and Registration office in August 1, 2018 after 18 years of service to the university.
