Theater folks are nothing if not creative. Even though they were forced to cancel their spring production, it didn’t take long for the department to adapt an in-person discipline to an online format.

Timing is everything, and that couldn’t be more true for Teal Delys, whose determination to pursue a dream helped her land the job she wanted, in the city she wanted––just as a pandemic was about to shut down the economy and job market.
Every spring the diligence and dedication of Eastern graduates is rewarded when they walk across the commencement stage and hear their name called in front of classmates, family and friends. When commencement could not happen in the usual format this year, EWU got creative to ensure each 2020 grad got the recognition they deserve.
Students in a new gardening club were eager to get their hands dirty and the EWU Community Garden was on track to cultivate a great crop this year. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced a change of plans, one dedicated employee kept things growing.
