Students: Get Your Flu Shot on Campus

Now is the time to get a flu vaccine. EWU Health, Wellness and Prevention Services urges everyone to get a flu shot this year to protect themselves and the EWU community.

EWU has partnered with MultiCare to offer a FREE flu vaccine clinic for EWU students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in the Pence Union Building (PUB) Nysether Community Room (NCR).

Flu shots protect our most vulnerable community members from getting ill and can help keep you, your fellow students, and our faculty and staff healthy. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the single best way to protect yourself, your friends, and your family from influenza is to receive a flu shot each year. The CDC recommends everyone six months of age and older be vaccinated against the flu. In the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, flu vaccination is even more important than usual to decrease the burden of flu overall, and help conserve medical resources for the care of COVID-19 patients.

Students, please mark your calendars for Oct. 7 and get a flu shot.
