Forrest “Skip” Amsden, a longtime member of Eastern’s Career Planning & Placement team, died on March 5, 2021.
Amsden was born in 1935 and grew up in Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School. He attended Humboldt State University, graduated from EWU and earned an MBA from Gonzaga. His business career took him to Idaho and Nevada before he returned to Cheney and EWU to teach in the business department and serve as director of Career Planning & Placement. He retired in 1995 after 29 years of service to the university.
