The EWU Geology Club Is Digging Up Engaging Events

Mark your calendars! The EWU Geology Club will be hosting a number of seminars to highlight student research and internships, along with welcoming back alumni to offer advice to students interested in a professional geology career. This provides students the opportunity to get involved in research or internships, and to learn more about what it takes to work as a professional geologist.

Monday, Feb. 8

Alex Navarra will share his experience with the U.S. Geologic Survey and present his current research project on Felix Mutschler’s samples from Mineral Hill, Wyoming.

Monday, Feb. 22

Giovanna Bishop will discuss her graduate project involving the impacts of rock climbing on cliff ecosystems. She will also talk about her path to find and get accepted into a graduate program.
