EWU School of Global Learning Celebrates International Education

International Education Week—Nov. 16-20—is a joint effort by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. To celebrate, the EWU School of Global Learning is hosting and co-hosting a series of events that highlight international and study abroad students, their experiences, and their contributions to the Eastern community.

EWU serves more than 200 international students from more than 30 countries. These students bring rich intellectual diversity to our classrooms, even virtually. This year, amid the global pandemic, international students in the U.S. have overcome complex challenges to continue pursuing their education in the United States.

For more information on each event, registration information, and links to participate, please visit the EWU Global website.

While COVID-19 has prevented EWU students from studying abroad this year, the School of Global Learning continues to advise students planning trips when travel is once again an option. Students interested in studying abroad may contact the EWU Education Abroad office by emailing kguilfoyle@ewu.edu.
