The United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) announced on Nov. 27 that EWU Entrepreneurship has earned recognition as one of the two finalists for the 2020 Top Emerging Entrepreneurship Program Award.
“This is a major international award,” says Bruce Teague, the founding director of the EWU Center for Entrepreneurship. Programs apply from around the world. Last year, Florida State University and Wake Forest University were the two finalists. According to USASBE’s website, the award recognizes the development efforts of programs that show early signs of innovation, boldness and student impact.
EWU has made it through three rounds of evaluation to be named a finalist. Teague will present the EWU program to a panel of judges in New Orleans on Jan. 5. The winner will be announced at the USASBE conference banquet on Jan. 6.
