Phyllis Wilkerson, who served as a secretary in the EWU English Department for 18 years, died on Feb. 16, 2021. She was 95.
Wilkerson and her husband Bill settled in Cheney in 1950 when Bill was offered a position teaching geology at Eastern. Phyllis pursued graduate studies until the couple decided to adopt children. She later taught grade school, became a realtor, and then a secretary in the EWU English Department. She retired in 1993.
