Face Masks and Respirators

Reminder: Healthy people who are not in close contact with sick individuals do not need respiratory protection however, you should wear cloth face coverings when you need to come into close contact with people you do not live with.

Face masks, like those at the entrance to doctors offices, are not the same as respirators. These two types of personal protective equipment serve different functions and should not be confused. Watch the short video below to see the differences between these items.
