Laboratory Safety Expand

EWU Exposure Control Plan  - Program designed to address the safety of individuals who's work has the potential to expose them to bloodborne pathogens.

Laboratory Chemical Safety Manual - This manual serves as the backbone of the Chemical Hygiene Plans at EWU. It outlines safe work practices and requirements for working with chemicals.

  • Laboratory Container Labeling - This guidance document covers chemical container labeling. It is Appendix B in the Laboratory chemical Safety Manual.

Laboratory Exposure Control Plan - Program designed to address the safety of laboratory staff and students who work with materials which could contain bloodborne pathogens.

Occupational Medicine Expand

Accident Prevention Program - The Accident Prevention Program is designed to outline methods for the identification and reduction of hazards in and around EWU and encourage all members of the Eastern Community to become actively involved in safety.

EWU Exposure Control Plan - Program designed to address the safety of individuals who's work has the potential to expose them to bloodborne pathogens.

Laboratory Exposure Control Plan - Program designed to address the safety of laboratory staff and students who work with materials which could contain bloodborne pathogens.

Outdoor Heat Exposure - Heat related program for employees who work outside between May 1st and September 30th.

Shop Safety Expand

EWU Procedure for Checking out Aerial Lifts - This document outlines the steps needed to become certified to use an aerial lift at EWU. It has the steps for checking out an aerial lift, removing a lift for repairs, and returning a lift when the job is complete.

Fall Protection and Restraint Program - Procedure and related documents for Eastern Washington University to establish and maintain safe work practices and protection for employee(s) working in hazardous conditions requiring worker fall protection/restraint, confined spaces, or rescue/recovery procedures.

Lockout/Tagout Energy Control Program - The Lockout/Tagout program is designed to help prevent employee injury from energy sources by ensuring that all energy has been isolated from equipment and systems before any work is done on them.

Respirable Crystalline Silica Program -  The Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS) work procedures for Eastern Washington University (EWU) that establish safe work practices and protection for employees working in applicable industry with hazards requiring protections from exposure to RCS.

Acoustical Tile Handling - The Acoustical Tile Handling for EWU that establish safe work practices and protection for employees working in applicable industry with hazards requiring protections from exposure to irritant particulates.

Ladder Fixed Portable - EWU personnel who use ladders in performance of their job duties. Incorrect use of a ladder may pose a threat to human health if not used properly and employees have the right to know and understand the correct way to use a ladder.
