Springdale Food Pantry

Springdale Food Pantry is a 501 C-3 non-profit started March 21, 2018. Staffed with volunteers from the surrounding community, SFP relies on donations from RURAL Resources out of Colville and the community at large. All of the donations (fresh, frozen, and dry goods) goes to the residents within the local area. All volunteers go through orientation and are required to get their food handlers permit.

Autism Speaks

AutismSpeaks.org is an organization that assists people effected with autism, as well as their families. The organization provides a wide array of resources such as; where to get a diagnosis, schools and special education, advocacy support, adult services, inclusion and community activities, and so much more.

Some examples of obstacles that the organization has assisted people overcome are: gaining independence in the form of learning to drive or independent living, graduating from college, getting a job, learning to speak, and the list goes on

La Casa Hogar

La Casa Hogar is a family that supports the community of Yakima. La Casa Hogar connects and educates Latino families, to transform lives in the Yakima Valley. La Casa envisions transforming divided neighborhoods into connected communities. This organization values children and Latino families by educating and providing them with the necessary resources to enhance their skills and achieve their professional and personal goals. La Casa Hogar prioritizes civic engagement and is actively involved in immigration rights coalitions, census work, local and statewide government and other community committees.

Walla Walla Valley Disability Network

The Walla Walla Valley Disability Network (WWVDN) works closely with another organization we have in town but also nationally called Parent to Parent (P2P). These organizations provide support and resources to parents and their child(ren) who have special needs as well as their siblings. Outside of resources for families, they also do community outreach disability trainings. Most importantly they choose to celebrate abilities!

A Child’s Hope Spokane

A Child’s Hope Spokane (ACHS) has a passion for connecting young children with christian based homes. This can include private, foster, or adoptive homes. The goal is to not only assist in finding a positive and supportive environment for children, but to come alongside the families that may take in the children and aid them in various ways.

Sally’s House Emergency Foster Care

Sally’s House is an emergency foster care facility for children ages 2-12 years old. Children come to Sally’s House because they have been removed from their home due to abuse, neglect, abandonment or criminal activity. Children may only be brought to Sally’s House by local law enforcement or Child Protective Services. Sally’s House provides a caring, safe and loving home for up to 20 children at one time until a more appropriate foster placement can be organized or the child is able to return to their home once the situation is resolved.
