A Child’s Hope Spokane

A Child’s Hope Spokane (ACHS) has a passion for connecting young children with christian based homes. This can include private, foster, or adoptive homes. The goal is to not only assist in finding a positive and supportive environment for children, but to come alongside the families that may take in the children and aid them in various ways.

This organizations chooses to focus greatly on seeking out families who truly desire to add to their family and are connected to a good faith-based community. They go through a detailed screening process and put a great amount of time and effort into the pairings that they create. Supports are provided to educate fostering and adoptive parents as well as walk them through the arduous process of adoption. Additionally, there is a closet to provide basic necessities for the home, and a supply of encouraging and honest testimonies of families that have been worked with in the past. These emotional and physical supports encourage families as they are about to take part in the huge step of opening their home to a child who simply needs love. The need is simple, however meeting it is a learning curve.

In a school, a number of things can be done to aid A Child’s Hope Spokane. There is a Closet that is set up and a linked Amazon account where easy contribution is encouraged. Getting the word out about this is a great need right now. Additionally, there are a number of trainings and events that the organization houses throughout the year. Working to put together gift baskets during the holiday season for families is an idea, partnering to create an additional closet for families in need could be a possibility, or providing something simple like a meal or snacks for the training sessions the potential families attend. Volunteering is another good way to get involved. Accepting tickets for events, and directing attendees, or engaging in projects to keep up the grounds that house this organization are some of many ways to actively engage in supporting them and their mission.
