Feed Spokane is a non-profit organization that brings local restaurants, grocery providers, and community members in the greater Spokane area together to safely preserve prepared foods from restaurants and grocery stores, which then go to non-profit organizations who serve free meals to those in need.
Feed My Starving Children was founded in 1987. The purpose of this organization is to feed children who are malnourished. Their saying is “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” They pack nutritious food boxes that help feed children around the world.
Fairchild Air Force Base is a military instillation located in Airway Heights, WA. There are a variety of units and missions conducted through this base, but their main focus is the air refueling mission. The base is home to Active Duty Members, Reservists, and a National Guard squadron. There are also a number of other units including the survival, evasion, resistance and escape school, medical units, and a weapons squadron.
“Blessing the life of a child in foster care, one child at a time.” The goal of Embrace Washington is to bless and transform the lives of children living in foster care. This organization is a local organization that provides support and care for children around the area in the foster care system. Embrace Washington strives to provide essentials for these children whether it be a new bed, funds for a sporting camp, or helping find a foster family.
Double J Dog Ranch is a sanctuary for dogs with special needs. Depending on the severity of the disability, DJDR will either provide care and a loving home for the dog or train them to be adopted by families. All dogs get care and the loving home they deserve, and their disabilities are celebrated rather than looked down upon.
