Handwashing seems so easy, we have done it our whole lives. But most people wash their hands for about 5 seconds, which is much lower than the minimum 20 seconds and the ideal 40-60 seconds. The video below from the World Health Organization shows proper handwashing technique. It takes about a minute, if you are aiming for the 20 second minimum just shorten the number of times each step is repeated.
