Northwest Youth Corps

The Northwest Youth Corps offers and educational and job-training experience that helps youth and young adults from all diverse backgrounds to develop lifelong skills they will need to have a full and productive life. This opportunity helps youth and young adults learn, grow, and succeed and helps them overcome obstacles, solve problems, make friends, and attain objectives in life.

Groundwater Foundation

The mission of Groundwater Foundation is to connect businesses and communities, making everyone an active participant in ensuring clean and sustainable groundwater. They believe every person will benefit from ample amounts of clean groundwater. Their goal is to engage whole communities in education, action, and innovation of protecting groundwater.

Miryam’s House

Miryam’s House is a part of a non-profit organization location in Spokane called Transitions. It is dedicated to providing transitional housing for homeless women without children. Miryam’s House provides one-on-one counseling, case management, life-skills education and even continued support for women once they have left the program. It contains 9 individual rooms as well as an apartment for homeless women looking to take that “next step”.

UNICEF Kid Power

UNICEF’s mission is to provide health care, immunizations, safe water, sanitation, nutrition, education, and emergency relief to children all around the world. They work toward creating a safe and healthy childhood so no child dies from preventable causes. They support children through fundraising, advocacy, and education.

Union Gospel Mission Student Impact Center

The Union Gospel Mission Student Impact Center (SIC) is a place where “at risk” teens can go and feel safe. The SIC is open three days a week from after school until about 7:00pm. The SIC picks up middle and high school students up from school and brings them to the center. On a typical night, students get to the SIC and have time for homework or time to just chill and then students are fed a meal. One of interns will then give a “message” and then there is a time of reflection. When the night is over students are then dropped off at their homes.

Spokane Valley Partners

The purpose of Spokane Valley Partners is to help provide and support the basic needs of families in the area. They are committed to help find housing, health care, food, employment and other basic needs for families in the area. There are multiple ways to work with this organization to help donate money, resources, time, and effort. Spokane Valley Partners works to prevent hunger and poverty in the community.
