UNICEF’s mission is to provide health care, immunizations, safe water, sanitation, nutrition, education, and emergency relief to children all around the world. They work toward creating a safe and healthy childhood so no child dies from preventable causes. They support children through fundraising, advocacy, and education.

UNICEF Kid Power is an organization that focuses on giving children an opportunity to be involved and make an impact. UNICEF raises money to prevent illness in children all over the world. Their goal is to make sure each child has a safe and healthy childhood by giving them the resources they need. They work in over 190 countries all around the world to help decrease the number of children dying from preventable causes.

UNICEF Kid Power is an initiative that helps children get the necessary nutrition they need all around the world. Teachers can choose from nearly one-hundred videos that range in different types of movements. As each video is completed, the class unlocks coins that can be given back to local or global causes. Students are able to choose where their coins go to. They are able to learn about the needs of their community, so they can choose where they want to donate to once they unlock enough coins. This program combines movement, socio-emotional learning, teamwork, and community. It has a guide that encourages students along the way and shares updates. This program connects everyday activities to have a real-world impact. I would have students complete one to two videos every week as a class. I could have them get sponsors or do a coin drive to contribute more donations.
