Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) was created for veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001. WWP provides more than 20 programs and services to injured service members and their families. Their help is more than just providing services, they receive feedback from their members and help advocate for their members on the government level.
Wounded Warrior Project provides counseling, physical wellness, modified athletic opportunities, financial education, and much more to warriors and their families. WWP makes it really easy to provide resources and allow new warriors to join. The benefits that warriors and their families receive can help the members readjust to civilian life and give them helpful tools to succeed. WWP has field staff all over the country to help support veterans. Not only does WWP give you resources on how to get involved with the organization they also give tips on how to get involved with other institutions such as Veteran Affairs.
There are multiple ways to get involved, there is a resource for schools to get involved by putting fundraisers or you can connect with local volunteers with WWP on how your classroom can get involved.
