World Vision is a Christian organization committed to helping children in need around the world. They assist in a variety of ways including financial support, as well as giving children and families the tools they need to be successful. There are a multitude of ways for students to get involved and connect to the world around them.
World Vision supports children through direct financial assistance, as well as through a variety of tools needed for them to be successful. One major way that World Vision helps children is by giving their families animals. In many places around the world, farm animals can be the difference between eating or not eating. Classrooms can help families by giving them the opportunity to sell things like milk and eggs. World Vision allows the donors to pick animals to buy for families or sponsor a child directly. A great way for a class to raise money would be to save up for a certain animal and gift it to a family.
Teachers can give their students the opportunity to assist children in need in a multitude of ways. As a class, the students can decide what to save for and fund. Options include medicines, animals, water wells, clothing, and even soccer balls. Once the class decide on what they would like to raise money for, they can fundraise for that item. World Vision also offers programs for schools to get involved with activities like walkathons. These are great ways to raise awareness, as well as raise funds for those in need around the world.
