Waste Management Spokane Commercial Recycling is the leading provider of comprehensive waste management services in North America, providing services that range from collection and disposal to recycling and renewable energy generation.
At Waste Management, they believe in helping school boards, administrators and council members realize greater economic and environmental benefit from their waste programs. Waste Management works with schools to help create waste diversion and recycling programs that create a positive impact in schools or districts. In many cases, the programs they recommend can become rich learning experiences for students, parents, teachers, even maintenance and kitchen staff. They believe that recycling is worthy goal for homeowners, businesses, and communities to strive towards. They are currently North America’s largest residential recycling company.
Educators can partner with Waste Management in a number of ways. In fact, their website has an entire section devoted to K-12 education. Teachers can organize events for students to participate in and have students set up food waste bins that Waste Management brings in for schools. Waste Management also partners with many organizations that are based around getting kids involved in recycling. Some of ways to partner are by contacting them and participating “Trash Free Tuesdays” or “Walk to School Wednesday.” They are willing to work with educators to help create bi-lingual recycling posters, run engaging recycling programs for the school, and host field trips for students. There is a form that can be filled out to start creating a program for new schools by going to K-12 Education, then K-12 Solutions, and finally Let’s Talk.
