The purpose of the Ronald McDonald House Charities is to support families and programs to improve the health of children and the needs of their families locally and globally. The RMHC provides a home with support and resources to assist families. This organization also provides rooms in hospitals to comfort families. RMHC has 50 mobiles that travel to provide care and they have awarded more than $100 million in grants to families worldwide.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities makes a difference in the lives of sick children and helps keeps families together. One way a difference is made is by providing a home for families who are traveling to receive care for their children and stay for a long period. Children need all love and support from their family, RMHC provides the opportunity for families to stay together. Staying in the RMH costs little money or is free to some families. Services provided in these houses are meals, private rooms, playrooms. Families are never denied services. This charity always finds a way. Nothing is scarier and more stressful than your own child being sick and hospitalized. This charity provides a safe and comfortable environment inside hospitals for families to rest and regroup. This charity makes a difference in these children and families lives through generous donations.
There are a few ways teachers and students can help make a difference with the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Teachers and students could “Raise Love”. This means they could start a fundraiser. Whether it be school wide or community wide. A classroom could set a goal to read so many hours a week. Friends and family can choose to help sponsor these class goals. Another way to get involved in the RMHC is to fill up a RMHC donation box. A lot of schools partake in fundraisers where students bring in coins all week to purchase new book for the classroom. The same idea can be done with the RMHC donation boxes. Every penny counts.
