As stated on their website, “Goodwill works to enhance people’s dignity and quality of life by strengthening their communities, eliminating their barriers to opportunity, and helping them reach their full potential through learning and the power of work.” They provide people an opportunity to train for various jobs in certain industries as well as provide them a variety of supportive services like English Language training. Their efforts have had an impact at least 35 million people worldwide
When one works with Goodwill, people can help be put on a better path to their future. When people join Goodwill, they can learn new skills and obtain some support that will allow them to start on a new path to a career that they may truly find beneficial for them later on. This can allow them to not only strengthen their resumes but also increase their odds of finding jobs. It can also allow people to expand their networks by meeting new people through the programs and increasing their relationships with others. Thanks to Goodwill’s programs, the chances of people getting hired for a new job increase dramatically based on what kind of circumstances that you face.
Based on all I have seen, there is a variety of things that can be done with Goodwill. One of which that can be done is provide a fundraising event with the class and even the entire school to donate to Goodwill. This is an activity that can help many students provide aid. They can also participate in Goodwill’s volunteer program. This can allow students to learn about potential career choices for their future lives and make some choices about what they want to do when they grow up or graduate. This can be especially beneficial for middle and high schoolers so that they may find a career path to set foot on when they move on in life.
