The Cheney Care Center was created to provide senior citizens with a place to call home. Whether they are looking for assisted living, skilled nursing care or independent living options, the Cheney Care Center provides an active community and lifestyle that senior citizens are in search of.
At the Cheney Care Center, residents are given the best care and opportunities to continue their active lifestyle. This living center makes sure residents are taken care of and given opportunities to maintain their everyday life. With enjoyable activities for everyone, the staff does their best to offer many options for the residents. The residents love getting visitors from volunteers who play board games with them or even just sit down and have a conversation. The residents here each have a story to tell and share. If teachers were to partner with the Cheney Care Center, they would not only provide joy to the residents, but the residents could offer wisdom. Bringing two generations together is a remarkable experience for both parties involved.
There are many ways that teachers can partner with the Cheney Care Center. Teachers can bring students to participate in activities with the residents. They can meet them or interview them about their life. They can bring them projects from school or work on them together. Students can also teach them about what they are learning in school.
