Camp Journey at Ross Point is a summer camp for Children touched with cancer. They provide a day camp, and residents camp for kids to just be kids without having to worry about medical issues. The best thing about this camp is it is no cost to the families!
Camp Journey at Ross Point is a summer camp for kids exclusively for those who have or who have had cancer and families a fun-filled summer in Eastern WA, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana. Since health is a concern with the camp goers, they provide a full medical staff should anything go wrong. They provide anything that campers may need for the night, such as sleeping mats, car seats, fishing chairs, craft supplies and so much more! The big idea for the camp is to create a fun-filled outdoor camping experience allowing these kids to “just be kids”. Since this camp is geared toward helping these kids get “normal” experiences they fundraise money to help pay for the campers and the medical staff.
It takes $1,200 to supply needs for each camper. As a school, it would be great to have a fundraiser that allows for donations to go and “fund a camper” taking away the financial burden from the parents.
The camp is also always looking for donations that get campers by throughout the camp day and nights. These kinds of things change throughout the year to year, so having a donations drive highlighting what needs are most wanted. They are also always looking for dress up clothing and props for fun pictures and skits!
