WAMS Aquatic Classes

Eastern Washington University 2022/23 WAMS (Wellness and Movement Sciences) Aquatics Classes

Classes offered  - Swim Time 1 & 2, AND Proficient Swimming.  Swim Time 1 is a 1-credit class.  Swim Time 2 is a 2-credit class.  Proficient Swimming is an in-person 1-credit class.

Swim Time Students can swim on their own schedule, get fit, and get credit for it!  Two options are offered - Swim Time 1, in which 20 hours of swimming, water walking, treading, kicking are logged for 1 credit; Swim Time 2, in which three short papers are required in addition to the 20 hours logged.  Offered FWS quarters.

Proficient Swimming - A 1-credit face-to-face instructional class meeting MW 1:00-1:50 PM.  All swimming abilities are welcome.  We cater to both terrific and terrified!  Offered FWS quarters.

Beginning SCUBA Diving -  A 1-credit class offered Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 6-10 PM.  SCUBA certification is an option for students able to travel to the open water dive.  Offered FWS quarters.
