The Post Falls Police Department was created more than one hundred years ago. Since then, it has established a long tradition of excellent service delivered in an atmosphere of ethical, caring behavior. The growth and well-being of a city are profoundly affected by the character and efficiency of its police officers. The Post Falls Police Department is proud to have contributed to the safety, quality of life, and greatness of the City of Post Falls.
The Post Falls Police Department believes in a strong partnership with the community and understand that the best crime prevention asset they have is their relationship with citizens. This year they worked on citizen partnerships via; Social media, Coffee with a Cop, Virtual Patrol Ride A-longs, and our Cops-n-Kids & Rodder’s-n-More and more. Specifically, they will work with teachers in providing access to a police officer that will come into the class and spend sometime explaining to the students what they do and that they are normal people like you and me that aren’t out to get them. This can break down stigmas or bias students might have towards police officers.
– Have officers come to the class to explain what they do to make the community better
– Write them thank you letters
– Partner with them for various local events or drives that they put on
– Older grades you can have them bring in drunk googles
