Moran Vista provides all-inclusive care for seniors ranging from independent living to assisted and memory care. A strong sense of community important to the staff and residents. To achieve this daily interactions and relationships are encouraged, providing a welcoming environment for volunteers.
In addition to providing services for housekeeping, meals, and medication Moran Vista maintains a calendar of events, these events focus on brain, body and spiritual health. Exercise classes, guest speakers, support groups, and coffee hour talks are all examples of events on location. In addition to on location events transportation is provided to many nearby locations. Moran Vista Senior Living Cares about the individual and strives to provide care while encouraging independence and community.
Partnering with Moran Vista Senior Living is a great decision for teachers and students and easy to do. Because Moran Vista has so many great events scheduled students could easily join pre scheduled events or work with a staff member to plan a new activity for the calendar. A few ideas for activities include, game hour where small groups are formed to play a variety of board games. Crafts are also a great way to bring everyone together and learn from one another, or story hour. For story hour the students can bring their favorite book or their personal writing to read with the residents.
