Guardian Angel Homes is an assisted living and memory care community that allows elderly residents to live in an environment that feels like home. The community offers a range of living options from a small single level home, to a larger two story-residence in order to allow residents to choose the environment in which they are most comfortable.
This community is specially designed to give their members an opportunity to live independently, while still having the comfort, care, and support of the staff. They strive to meet the needs of every individual, big or small. They specialize in care of individuals with Alzheimer’s and offer 24 hour nurse support. For the more active members, they offer a wide range of activities including cooking classes, game nights featuring a variety of different games, workout classes, and so many more!
There are lots of opportunities for teachers and students to help out the staff and residents at Guardian Angel Homes. Since they offer such a wide range of activities, there is an endless need for supplies to support the variety of different projects. The residents are also in constant need of warm clothing; hats, sweaters, socks, etc. All of these items can be supplied through donations or money brought in through fund raising. Of all the different ways to help in this community, the number one request from the residents is time. Bringing students to share in crafting, storytelling, jokes, skits/performances, or any type of personal interactions with young, happy, spirited, children would bring the most joy to the individuals in this community.
