Adaptive Paddling
What: EWU is home to an amazing community of adaptive paddlers, including members of students, staff, faculty, and members of the local community. Several members of the Campus Recreation team have been trained through the ACA (link to ACA’s adaptive paddling content) to support adaptive paddlers. Our goal is to support all paddlers with achieving their personal paddling goals, and grow passion for all paddle sports. EWU has partnered with the Spokane Chapter of Team River Runner to provide students with access to a wide range of adaptive paddling equipment.
Who: We welcome all paddlers to our adaptive paddling sessions. While volunteers are available on site to assist with adaptations, all paddlers will need to meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for water recreation programs. (link to EEC)
When: Every Wednesday throughout the school year, from 7pm – 9pm. In the summer, there are regular opportunities for paddlers to connect outside on local lakes and rivers.
Where: EWU Aquatic Center (link to Recreation Map)
How: Free to EWU students, $5 per session for non-students.
