Campus Recreation Trivia

This is a nationally streamed live trivia gameshow hosted by several campus recreation programs across the country. This is a fun way to compete against your friends while maintaining social distancing, and includes a chance to win some prizes.

The event occurs every Wednesday, starting at 5:00PM PST. To participate you will need to create a twitch account, and visit https://www.twitch.tv/recwithoutborders/ (@recwithoutborders). Here are some details on how the game is played:

How To Play

1. Create a Twitch.tv account and follow @recwithoutborders profile.
2. Begin watching @recwithoutborders video on Twitch at 5:00pm PST on Wednesday.
3. Select the QuizKit Logo
   1. On mobile, at the top of the
      chat and to the right
   2. On PC, hover mouse on video
      to the right
4. To link username to scoreboard, select menu
   button and click “Link identity” or “Manage Access”
5. Mobile devices may lag slightly. We will read questions before they go live and adjust what we can, but please set your video quality to low!
6. The QuizKit logo will appear when we go live.

Rules

• Eligibility – The Quarantine Quiz Show is open to students, faculty, staff and alumni.
• Keep Chat Respectful – Help us keep chat free of inappropriate content. ASCII art, crude/disparaging language will result in a timeout or ban.
• Don’t be THAT PERSON – The Quarantine Quiz Show is designed to test your knowledge, not how fast you can google an answer.

Scoring

This Quiz Show is played in “Points Mode” with the following rules

• The player with the highest amount of points at the end wins
• Players with correct answers gain points. Faster answers gain more points.
• If you answer incorrectly, you lose points. Faster incorrect answers lose more points.
• If you don’t answer, no points are earned or lost… Play strategically!

Prizes

• Campus Rec programs from all over the country have donated a number of prizes including intramural t-shirts, whistles, hats and other swag items to the winners.
• Winners of weekly trivia will receive items. We will also pick random winners from anyone who chooses to signs in to the Google Doc each week!
