McNair Scholar Alice Chamberlin Accepted to Penn State Summer Research Internship

Congratulations to McNair Scholar, Alice Chamberlin! Alice has been accepted to Penn State’s Summer Research Internship. Penn State’s Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) is in it’s 37th year, with 610 program alumni completing their Ph.D. degree. SROP is run by the Big Ten Academic Alliance universities in order to increase the pursuit of graduate studies and research careers by underrepresented students.

Alice is an Honors student at Eastern, planning plans to graduate with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry. She is an honors student, a member of the dean’s list, and a member of MESA. Alice is an active member of the STEM student senate, advocating for student voices in STEM. Her research interests include environmental chemistry and medical research, and she plans to pursue a graduate degree in chemistry after graduation.
