McNair Scholar Chris Abruscato Accepted to Washington State University’s Summer Research Program

Congratulations to McNair Scholar Chris Abruscato! Chris has been accepted to Washington State University’s Summer Research Internship. WSU’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) is a 10-week experience investigating research centered around waves (ex. shock waves) in the fields of physics and astronomy.

Chris Abruscato is currently a physics major at Eastern Washington University (EWU), forecasted to graduate in Spring 2026. He is a member of the Honor’s Society, as well as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Chris is also an active member of EWU’s Physics Club, where various on-campus experiments and guest lectures are organized. He plans to attend graduate school with the goal of earning a PhD in theoretical physics. His research interests are unique quantum phenomena and the philosophical implications of various physical models, including but not limited to the Many-Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics.
