We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Jasmine Joy Paloma, one of our outstanding McNair students, has been accepted to the University of Houston’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program! As a first-generation college student, Jasmine exemplifies determination, leadership, and a passion for making a difference in the world.
Currently set to graduate in spring 2026, Jasmine majors in social work and minors in psychology, sociology, and anthropology. Her academic excellence has placed her on the dean’s list since her first semester at EWU.
Jasmine’s goal is to pursue a PhD and use her expertise to advocate for and empower marginalized populations. We could not be prouder of her achievements and the positive impact she is already making. Jasmine’s acceptance into the University of Houston’s MSW program is a testament to her hard work, vision, and dedication to social justice.
