Positions

The ASEWU President works closely with the EWU Board of Trustees, and the University President and their cabinet to advocate for and address the needs of EWU students.

The Executive Vice President is responsible for all administrative matters of the ASEWU Senate. They chair all ASEWU Senate meetings and work sessions and prepare the agendas for each meeting.

The Finance Vice President is responsible for all financial matters of the ASEWU. They chair the ASEWU Finance committee, seek to be chair of the Service and Activities Fee Committee, attend the Student Transportation Fee Committee, Student Technology Fee Committee, and the University Budget Committee.
This senator is responsible for advocating and addressing the academic matters of students. They work with the Academic SenateUndergraduate Affairs Council, Rules Committee, and the Faculty President.
This senator is responsible for matters pertaining to the EWU student’s experience on campus. They work with with the athletics departmentcampus recreationcareer servicesUniversity Recreation Center, Pence Union Building, Alumni Association, and the Vice President of University Advancement.
This senator is responsible for all matters of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice for students. They work with the Multicultural CenterVeterans Resource CenterAfricana StudiesChicana/o/x StudiesAmerican Indian Studies, and other departments on campus.
This senator is responsible for matters related to student involvement in student-led clubs and organizations, club sports, and student-focused programs. They work with Student Engagement and Recreation to host student organization meetings that provide valuable information to the students regarding functions, funding and meeting requirements for student organizations.
This senator is responsible for matters pertaining to the services provided to students on the Cheney campus and at the EWU academic locations in Spokane. They chair committees that administer the Student Technology Fee and the Student Transportation Fee and work with Counseling and Wellness, Student Accommodations and Support Services, and Campus Services.
This senator is responsible for matters related to the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. They meet with the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and bring forward issues pertaining to students enrolled in that college’s programs.
This senator is responsible for matters related to the College of Professional Programs. They meet with the Dean of the College of Professional Programs and bring forward issues pertaining to students enrolled in that college’s programs.
This senator is responsible for matters related to the College of Health Science and Public Health. They meet with the Dean of the College of Health Science and Public Health and bring forward issues pertaining to students enrolled in that college’s programs.
This senator is responsible for matters related to undeclared students. They bring forward issues pertaining to students who have not yet declared a major.
