Student Member of the EWU Board of Trustees Application

The individual appointed as the student member of the EWU Board of Trustees has the opportunity to participate in nearly all aspects of the decision-making process at the university. The student member on this Board votes on all business matters related to the university with the exception of matters pertaining to hiring, discipline, or tenure of faculty members and personnel. The chief time commitment for this position involves attending the bi-monthly BOT meetings (normally two full days), committee meetings and trips related to university business and participating in a summer board retreat. The individual selected will serve for one year.

This position will provide a tuition waiver. This waiver is limited to operating tuition and may be reduced by other EWU tuition waiver or tuition paying scholarships.

Requirements for the position:
1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or above.
2. Attended EWU at least three [3] consecutive quarters (excluding summer quarter).
