What is the mentoring program?
New faculty were surveyed in 2022 and identified challenges navigating the academic setting at EWU. In response, Faculty Commons and Academic Affairs created a formal mentoring program.
What can the mentoring program do for me?
Faculty mentors are here to help you with navigating tenure, helping with Learning Management System questions (Canvas), time management, feeling connected with other faculty, managing the classroom environment, learning new techniques, or whatever challenges you may have while teaching.

Kristyne Wiegand is an Associate Professor in the Wellness and Movement Science Department. Kristyne has successfully navigated a robust research agenda from the beginning.

Luis Matos is a Professor in the Biology Department. Luis has much experience in the tenure process and how to organize promotion materials.

Lisa Bilich is a Professor in the Dental Hygiene Department. She has held many roles in the university, including serving as a Department Chair.
