About the Organization

Student Accommodations and Support Services at Eastern Washington University is here to serve students who may be struggling with personal challenges and/or obstacles. Our team helps coordinate the care and resources students may need to overcome barriers to their personal and academic success. We promote all students having a positive collegiate experience and can provide crisis care, case management, and appropriate and reasonable accommodations on an individual basis. Our goal is to empower students to gain the skills and support they need so that they can be independent; allowing them to complete their program of study while being as self-reliant as possible and making their time at EWU a positive experience.
Student Accommodations and Support Services and student medical accommodations:
Academically qualified students with disabilities are an integral part of the student population at Eastern Washington University, and providing opportunities for students is a campus-wide responsibility and commitment. Although the University does not offer specialized curricula or assume the role of a rehabilitation center, personnel within the University work with students to modify campus facilities and programs to meet individual needs.
Student Accommodations and Support Services staff can provide details about the services provided and are available to meet with prospective students.
Student Accommodations and Support Services and student religious accommodations:
EWU supports students who participate in all faith backgrounds. Occasionally, there may be specific beliefs and/or practices that conflict with academic requirements. The SASS team supports these students by exploring those details and working with the student and faculty to determine options to support both the religious practice and academic requirements.
