Electric Vehicle Benefits
Electric vehicles offer zero tailpipe emissions, lower fuel costs, and reduced maintenance. They are ideal for short-range trips and contribute to a cleaner environment for the university.
Natural Gas Vehicle Advantages
Natural gas vehicles provide lower emissions compared to gasoline vehicles and can be a cost-effective alternative. They are suitable for various applications, including fleet vehicles and buses, within the university.
When selecting a vehicle for your departments needs you will need to keep in mind if an Electric Vehicle or Natural Gas Vehicle is a better option. As a State University, we are federally mandated to reduce our petroleum consumption by adopting new vehicle technology. Electric vehicles are just one of the many new and exciting ways Eastern Washington University can help lead the fight against climate change. However, our location, and climate can make it difficult to use an electric vehicle for university needs so please keep this in mind when selecting a vehicle. At this time EWU Cheney campus is limited on EV Charging Stations.
