With the STA Connect app you can:
- Link a physical Connect card or create a virtual eConnect card
- Add value or passes
- Check your balance
- View fare capping progress
- Enable autoload
- Lock lost or stolen cards
- Manage payment method
- View card activity, including ride history
Virtual eConnect cards are separate from physical Connect cards. eConnect cards are completely virtual and exist only in your mobile phone. Every card, whether physical or eConnect, has a unique 20-digit number, and that 20 digit number has its own separate balances and fare capping totals from any other Connect card number, even when linked within the same STA Connect app account profile.
To set up your connect account:
1. Search for and download the STA Connect app from the Google Play Store on Android and the App Store on iPhone.
2. Create your account in the app by utilizing your EWU Email.
3. Tap the “+” Symbol to create an eConnect card.
4. Select “Create eConnect Card” from the menu.
5. Enter a “Nickname” for the eConnect Card. Then, tap “Create Card”.
6. Select “Partner Agency” from the menu. Then, tap “Link to Partnership” when it appears near the bottom of your screen.
7. Select “Eastern Washington University” from the list that appears. Then, tap “Link Now” at the bottom of the screen.
8. Tap “Add Passes” on the next screen that appears.
9. The “UTAP EWU” pass will appear. Tap “Add Pass”.
10. Your pass will now be displayed under “Cards” from the menu at the bottom of the screen.
