We are excited to welcome our newest cohort of McNair Scholars for the 2025–2026 academic year! This dynamic group of seven high-achieving students have already embarked on an intensive journey of academic growth and research through the McNair Summer Research Internship taking place this summer. Their hard work and dedication over the summer mark the beginning of their path toward graduate study and scholarly achievement.

- Edgar Acosta – Psychology and Criminal Justice
- Alejandro Tapia Suarez – Health Psychology
- Caleb Triplett – Computer Engineering
- Nancy Benson – Psychology and Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies
- Aaron Sullivan – Physics (currently conducting summer research at the University of Notre Dame)
- Chanel Gonzales – English Education
- Theo Monet – Anthropology
This summer, each scholar is immersed in hands-on research experiences designed to deepen their expertise and prepare them for future academic success. Notably, Aaron Sullivan is representing EWU McNair at the University of Notre Dame this summer, where he is engaging in advanced research in Physics.
