On March 8th, Minerva Zayas had the amazing opportunity to present at the Gender Studies Symposium at Lewis and Clark College. Her research was on “Beyond Labels and Boundaries: Queer Chicana Individuals and Psychological Identity Development”. It is such great work! great Job Minerva!
Minerva was been accepted into Oregon State University into the Masters of Arts program in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Congratulations Minerva! What a great accomplishment!
Minerva and Edith have received the Washington Women In Need education grant for $5,000 each. This organization empowers women in Washington State to continue their education and to build a better future. They may use these grants towards tuition, mandatory fees, and required books and supplies at accredited Washington colleges and universities.
This Fall, Minerva and Ella received the opportunity to participate in a campus visit at Indiana University through a multi-day recruitment program for IU applicants. They met with possible mentors, explored the campus, and had a chance to sit in a seminar class with graduate students.
