This tool is rewarding students for positive behaviors throughout the months. They get “paid” with points for exceptional choices and can use their points to buy stuff from the end of month store. This helps prevent negative behaviors and encourages students to make good choices.
The bell is near the teacher and when the teacher rings the bell, students will know to finish their last thought and to turn their voices off and keep their hands in their lap. This is helpful because it will ideally make transitions flow easier.
This tool is a jar located somewhere in the classroom where students can write down something they wish their teacher(s) knew about them. This allows the teacher to understand why their student(s) may be struggling and what the teacher can do to help fix it.
This tool allows students to practice writing emails while sending updates to their families every week about their progress in school. It covers both aspects of updating parents about their student and developing student communication/professionalism skills via email writing.
This tool is best to do at the beginning of the lesson. It allows students to get some fresh air and clear their minds. At the end of the walk, they be more refreshed and ready to learn, preventing problems or bad behaviors from arising during the lesson.
This tool helps reduce the stress of the students while also helping the students self-regulate. This also allows the students a break during learning so that the students don’t become overwhelmed. This tool allows students to develop their creativity as well as their social skills.
This tool helps manage the classroom and noise within the classroom. This tool, bouncy balls, has a integrated noise meter which automatically detetcs the students noise levels in the classroom and sends off alert signals if it gets too loud.
An Outstanding You is given to students mostly by teachers for good behavior, doing great on an assignment, being helpful, or anything that ties back to the school motto of being Responsible, Respectful, and Safe. They can then be used in different ways depending on the teacher/classroom. These are helpful because students know the ways in order to earn them, so they want to be on their best behavior in order to gain an Outstanding You.
This tool is helpful with eliminating distraction in the classroom as well as off task behavior. Students know that once their pencil is placed, they are to continue working until called on.
This tool helps to get the room clean quickly at the end of the day. It is a fun way for students to become motivated about the way their classroom looks.
