A Verbal Plan for Improvement is as simple as a one-sentence plan that is developed by the student, stating what the student will do differently in the future. This plan is specific, realistic, brief, and stated in a positive manor. It is very important that the student state their own plan and make a commitment to following it, which can be done by writing their statement down on paper or printing it out.
This tool allows students to choose how they want to greet their teacher every morning. They can point to pictures to choose a handshake, a high-five, a hug, or a dance move.

It allows for students to share their voice of what they think should happen in the classroom and for the teacher to guide these procedures in a way they think is appropriate for their classroom to run effectively.
This tool is used for dealing with serious conflict in the classroom between two or more students. It is a process that allows both the offended student and the offender to learn and heal, and ultimately stop any similar behavior.
Fold the line is a tool any teacher can use to assure random partners in group work. This tool is helpful because everybody gets a random partner and nobody feels left out or unwanted.
